Veteran's Day Children's Activities

Veteran's Day theme parties and events are great fun, but can also have some dull moments for the kids. Make some distraction bags that contain quiet activies that will keep kids entertained while the grown-ups have some fun too. We make sure that there is something to do with books, games and activities, all of which are quiet and non-messy (no felt tip pens or sticky goo) so best clothes aren't stained.

Veteran's Day party games will keep the kids entertained. You can turn any game into a contest and you can give out Veteran's Day party favors to the winners. Veteran's Day anagrams are a great activity for the kids. In a given amount of time, see which player can come up with the most words formed from the letters in "Veterans Day". Use pencils and paper; no letter may be used more times than it appears in "Veterans Day". This game may be played with other Patriotic words as well.

Try using free printable Veteran's Day word find game or a Veteran's Day word scramble and give out prizes when they complete a puzzle. When the kids finish the puzzle, have them use some the words contained in the games to create a story.
