Thanksgiving Party Games for Kids
Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday that brings families together. Most likely there will be children present at your gathering. Children can sometimes be hard to please while they are waiting on the adults to offer the Thanksgiving prayer, so try to keep them entertained with some Thanksgiving party games.
Almost any children's game can be tailored to suit the Thanksgiving theme party and should be incorporated into your Thanksgiving party planning.
Bobbing for apples is a traditional game usually reserved for fall activities. Float several apples in a large wash tub filled with water. The object of this game is to grab one of the apples with your mouth and remove it from the water without using your hands. This is a very messy, very wet, and very fun game. It is even more challenging if the stems are removed from the apples.
Pumpkin bowling is another fall activity that is perfect for restless children waiting for their Thanksgiving dinner. Select several small pumpkins about four to six inches in diameter. You need extras in case a few split or break. Place plastic liter soda bottles as bowling pins several feet away on the lawn or floor of the room.
Getting the children involved in an activity will lift every one's spirits and allow the adults hosting the party time to make the finishing touches on their wonderful Thanksgiving dinner.
