Passover Games

The entire Passover meal, called the Seder, is eaten as the story of Israel's freedom is told. Activities on the placemats such as coloring, word find, or other table sitting projects can help involve the kids at the table during the sear. At a Passover party traditionally Hard Boiled Eggs, Gefilte Fish, Matzoh, Passover Popovers, Matzoh Ball Soup, Charoses, Brisket, Carrot Tzimmes, and Macaroons is served. After a wonderful meal why not make the party more intresting with wonderful Passover party games. Here is a great idea for a Passover game called WITH THE BALLOON: Divide up into 2 teams. The teams form up in 2 lines. Between the lines there are some skittles. The first player in each team is given a plate with the balloon on it. At the leader's signal the players begin to run between the skittles. The team which finished the race the first wins. Add wonderful Passover party decorations to give it the full flavor of a Passover.

Passover Ideas

Passover is celebrated for 8 days, beginning on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Nisan. Passover party supplies like paper plates, napkins, and cups are a perfect way to complete a Passover Party Theme. Passover party decorations using like glow jewelry, stickers. Passover loot bags tucked into baskets or an Passover piñata can be a centerpiece and can double as party prizes. Party favors like jewelry, glow whistles, hats, masks, party-poppers and boas will add the special touches to a Passover Party Theme.

An example of a fun game to play at a Passover Party is Ducky Ducky: Everyone sits in a circle except one who is given a pillow and blind-fold. They then go and place the pillow on a persons lap, sit on it and say ducky ducky. The person should say "quack quack" this can be done only 3 times. If the blind person guesses the name the person, they should now be given the blind fold and the game run over again - after everyone has changed their places.

Passover Party Games

Passover is celebrated for 8 days, beginning on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Nisan. As told in the first 15 chapters of the biblical Book of Exodus. Before the Jewish people were known as Jewish or Jews - names that were derived from the region of Judea in what is today southern Israel where the word 'Judea' was itself named for the Hebrew tribe of Judah when they settled there - they were known as either Israelites or Hebrews. History of Passover relates back to over 3,000 years ago, when the Israelites were held as slaves by the Egyptian Pharaoh, Rameses II. During the time when Pharaoh issued his decree to kill Hebrew males, Moses, who later was to lead the Hebrews out of their slavery in Egypt to freedom, was an infant at this time and his concerned mother, Jochebed, placed him in a basket of reeds in the Nile River while Moses' sister Miriam watched from a distance to see who would come to find him. The basket was found by the Pharaoh's daughter, who decided to raise the infant as her own son and named him Moses. He grew strong and became a man. The lord spoke to Moses and set him on the course to looked after the cause of the Israelites. He asked Pharaoh several times to release his people from slavery, and warned Pharaoh that he would devastate Egypt by plagues. Moses inflicted 9 of the 10 plagues, and after all the 9 plagues, the Pharaoh agreed to release the Hebrews from slavery, but quickly changed his mind. After the 10th plague however, he let the Hebrew People go. They left in a hurry, and could only take unleavened bread with them, called Matza, which is a part of celebration even today. The Pharaoh sent his army after the Israelites so that they could be brought back. The People traveled for 40 days and nights, and reached Red Sea, where they saw the emperor's army advancing towards them. In despair they asked for help from Moses, who parted the waters of Red Sea for them to cross. As soon as the Israelites crossed, the Red Sea regained and drowned the soldiers.

A fun game to play at your Passover party is CHOPSTICK HANDLING SKILL: Five (5) participants will be given over-sized chopsticks and attempt to lift "difficult" tidbits from one bowl to another. The fastest and with the most number of tidbits collected wins.

Easter Games

Easter is a great day to spend time with your family and have a good time. Make your Easter party more fun and memorable by playing wonderful Easter party games. An example of an Easter party game is Blowing the egg.

BLOWING THE EGG: Two pieces of cotton or tape are stretched across the carpet. An ordinary hen's egg -- which has had the entire contents removed without cracking the shell -- is laid exactly midway between the tape lines. A girl player then makes a little paper fan out of half a sheet of notepaper and kneels down on one side of the tapes and a boy kneels down on the other. The girl then has to try to fan the egg shell across the tape on the boy's side and he has to try to blow the shell back across the tape on the girl's side. The one who first drives the egg across his partner's line three times wins the contest. Nothing must be used by the girl but the paper fan or her hand, and the boy must simply blow with his mouth. Adding Easter Party decorations and Easter Party Supplies will also livin up the party.

Make the circles three different sizes so it resembles a bull's eye (the size of the circles will depend on the age of the kids, the older the kids the smaller the circle).
